Alex Skolnick

 


Alex Skolnick (29 de setembro de 1968) é um guitarrista de jazz e rock estadunidense, tendo sido membro da banda de thrash metal Testament, formada em São Francisco em 1983. Skolnick deixou a banda em 1992, mas voltou a tocar com ela para a regravação de algumas músicas antigas para o álbum First Strike is Still Deadly, em 2004, bem como para participar da turnê "Thrash of the Titans" que ocorreu em 2001, sob o nome de "The Legacy". A reunião deu certo, e Skolnick voltou oficialmente ao Testament. Saíram em turnê mundial, gravando inclusive um DVD, "Live in London". Ao término da turnê, a banda entrou em estúdio, onde Alex compôs e gravou os solos do disco "Formation of Damnation", lançado em 2008. Segundo ele, por causa de sua ausência durante tantos anos, preferiu abster-se de escrever riffs e arranjos, deixando Eric Peterson livre para fazer o disco no estilo Testament (com a exceção de F.E.A.R. (False Evidence Appering Real), que escreveu inteira).

Chuck Billy

 


Chuck Billy (Condado de Alameda, 23 de junho de 1962) é um vocalista norte-americano, mais conhecido por seu trabalho na banda de thrash metal Testament.Chuck Billy substituiu Steve "Zetro" Souza, que viria a ser futuramente o vocalista da banda Exodus em meados dos anos 80. Após sua chegada,o Testament lançou seu primeiro álbum, chamado "The Legacy" em 1987. Reconhecido como sendo um dos fundadores da cena de thrash metal da Bay Area o Testament lançou diversos álbuns subsequentes. Embora a formação da banda tenha mudado bastante ao longo dos anos, Chuck Billy permanece como vocalista até hoje.
Chuck Billy também apareceu no projeto solo de James Murphy como músico convidado.

Jeff Plate

 


Jeff Plate (born March 26, 1962) is an American professional hard rock/heavy metal drummer. He currently plays with the group Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He is best known as drummer for American heavy metal band Savatage on their albums since Japan Live '94, and was also a member of Metal Church from 2006 to their break up in 2009 and again from their reunion in 2012 to 2017. Plate was born in Montour Falls, New York, and grew up on a farm in Horseheads, New York. As a youth, he dreamed of becoming a pitcher for the New York Yankees, but this dream took a bad turn when his hip popped out of joint at the age of 12. On crutches for 4 months, he was advised to give up playing sports for two years in order for the hip to heal properly. After watching Kiss perform on The Midnight Special, he began taking drum lessons in school and privately. Jeff moved to Tampa, Florida in 1981, but soon returned New York, before moving once again to the Boston area. There, while working in a cover band with some hometown friends, he met Boston guitarist Matt Leff. Leff had been playing in a band Wicked Witch, whose lead vocalist was Zak Stevens. Wicked Witch went through a few lineup changes and had broken up at the time Matt and Jeff started playing together. Zak returned from his home in SC to Boston to reform a 2nd version of Wicked Witch.

Johnny Lee Middleton

 





Johnny Lee Middleton (born May 7, 1963 in St. Petersburg, FL) is an American musician and songwriter, best known as the bass guitar player for Savatage and Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
A lifelong resident of the St. Petersburg area, Middleton's first experience as a performing musician was as first-chair trumpet in the sixth-grade orchestra. The band director provided early encouragement. "I'd get free lessons from him, so I learned how to play the saxophone, the clarinet, [and] the oboe. He kind of gave me an ear for music."
As a bass player, however, Middleton is largely self-taught. At age 14, he joined the high-school jazz band. With the bass rig behind him, he quickly discovered "the way the bass moves the earth" and just as quickly realized "you could get more girls by playing bass instead of trumpet." He invested $35 in his first bass, locked himself in his bedroom with REO Speedwagon, Cheap Trick, and Black Sabbath records, and learned to play along. Among his influences, Middleton counts Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler, Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), Geddy Lee (Rush), Chris Squire (Yes), John Entwistle (The Who), and Paul McCartney (The Beatles).

Christopher Michael Oliva

 





Christopher Michael Oliva (Pequannock, 3 de Abril de 1963^[1] — 17 de Outubro de 1993 ^[2]) foi um guitarrista dos Estados Unidos, conhecido por ter sido membro da banda de heavy metal Savatage.^[3]Destacou-se desde muito jovem tocando guitarra. Segundo seu irmão Jon Oliva, Criss era um guitarrista autodidata que não se inteirava muito acerca da teoria musical, sendo capaz de tocar canções depois de apenas ouvi-las. John também relatou que Criss tocava sua guitarra durante cerca de seis horas por dia, quase que diariamente.
Aos dezesseis anos, Criss em parceria com John, funda a banda Avatar em 1979. Aos dezessete anos, Criss participa em uma competição entre guitarristas na qual tocou "Eruption", de Van Halen, esbanjando técnica, fascinando a todos que se encontravam presentes. Isto o levou a vencer aquela competição e receber o prêmio que era ofertado, uma guitarra Stratocaster de cor branca.

Al Pitrelli (nascido em 26 de setembro de 1962) é um guitarrista estadunidense melhor conhecido pelos seus trabalhos com Alice Cooper, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Megadeth, Savatage e Blue Öyster Cult.

Bobby Rondinelli

 



Robert Rondinelli, mais conhecido como Bobby Rondinelli (27 de julho de 1955, Brooklyn, Nova York), é um baterista americano, mais conhecido por ter integrado as bandas de hard rock e heavy metal Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Blue Öyster Cult, Quiet Riot, e Rondinelli.
Rondinelli começou a tocar bateria em torno dos 11 anos de idade, tendo tocado anteriormente guitarra.
Ele tocou com a banda britânica de heavy metal Black Sabbath nos álbuns Cross Purposes e Cross Purposes Live e foi integrante do grupo em 1994 e novamente em 1995.
Entre 2003 e 2008, tocou na banda americana The Lizards, fundada pelo baixista Randy Pratt (ex-Cactus) e pelo guitarrista Patrick Klein. Durante o verão de 2010, Bobby Rondinelli se juntou ao grupo Foghat, substituíndo o baterista original Roger Earl, enquanto este estava se recuperando de uma cirurgia.

Bob Curiano

He began touring during the late 1970’s as the bass player with the Manhattan-based band Mink De Ville. Curiano was with Mink De Ville for a decade before moving on to pursue his own musical interests of writing and producing.
In 1993 he was the first producer and writer for the Backstreet Boys. “A friend of mine (Lou Pearlman) called and said, ‘I found these kids. Can you come down to Florida?’ They were these nice little kids, but they couldn’t really sing harmonies very well,” recalls Curiano of that initial meeting with the teen band calling themselves “The Backstreet Boys”. In the beginning, the Backstreet Boys were actually performing Curiano’s work: “When Jive Records entered the picture, they cleaned house, brought in their own people, and I sort of got lost in the shuffle”, recalls Curiano.
Curiano first met Ritchie Blackmore at the Normandy Inn, a Long Island tavern. They talked music over a few pints and subsequently played music there, earning Curiano the stage name "Sir Robert of Normandie". In October 2000 Curiano joined to Blackmore's Nightfor the last few shows of the Under a Violet Moon tour. Curiano announced his departure on September 22, 2006 at the end of the second European tour of that year. He returned to his passion of writing music. He and Mr. Blackmore have parted on good terms and remain friends.

Richard 'Ritchie' Hugh Blackmore

Atualmente é o guitarrista da banda de folk rock Blackmore's Night.
